HUEDRA is an on-demand creative marketplace, showcasing the future of art prints & multiples publishing for enthusiasts and collectors. Huedra was born from a mission to demystify high end affordable art with straight-talking transparency.
We are a global-based emporium that collaborates with masters and innovators of printmaking to offer a unique selection of high quality, wearable & print art from both emerging and established artists. Our primary venture, Studio Luma is the long term collaboration with the multidisciplinary design team Haus of 3hilosophy. Together we make end-to-end sustainable, carbon neutral, products in London.
The Genesis
Huedra Atelier evokes a blend of "Hue" (color, vibrancy, visual spectrum) and the mythological "Hydra" (a multi-headed, dynamic entity, perfectly representing a collective of diverse artists working as a single powerhouse).
How & Why We Were Founded
Huedra Atelier was born out of a shared frustration and a collective dream. A few years ago, a small group of independent artists—ranging from traditional oil painters to digital illustrators and graphic designers, found themselves working in the same communal printmaking workshop.
We realised a disheartening trend in the art market: it was deeply polarised. On one end were the inaccessible, high-end galleries; on the other, a flood of mass-produced, low-quality wall decor that lacked soul, texture, or intent. We wanted to bridge that gap.
We founded Huedra Atelier to bring gallery-level intentionality to accessible printmaking. Our goal wasn't just to sell art, but to create a living, breathing studio where the creators are directly connected to the final tactile artwork that hangs in someone's home.
The "Multi-Headed" Approach
The "Huedra" name isn't just about color; it’s about how we operate. We are a collective mind. Our creative process is deeply collaborative and usually follows a distinct rhythm:
The Spark: We hold monthly "Huedra Sessions," where the team gathers to discuss a central theme, an emotion, a color palette, or even a piece of music. This becomes the anchor for our next collection
Solo Incubation: Our artists retreat to their own mediums. A digital artist might begin rendering 3D textures, while a watercolorist drafts organic shapes, and a photographer captures lighting references.
The Collision: The magic happens when we merge these disciplines. A traditional charcoal sketch might be scanned, digitally painted over, and then overlaid with an architectural blueprint. We pass files and canvases back and forth. No piece is the product of just one mind; every artwork has the fingerprints of the entire Atelier.
